Musical Theatre
Sing and dance your way with PLAY!
Each term is aimed towards an introduction of Musical Theatre techniques, which will then lead on to further exploration during the rest of the academic year!
Each child is supported and encouraged to perform, however tutors create an environment without pressure; if you want to come along for the fun of the class – you can. If you want to showcase your hard work and perform in concerts and events – you can do that too! As well as regular termly classes, our Musical Theatre participants also get opportunities to perform in showcases and local events as well!
To boost confidence levels, teamwork, social skills and self esteem.
To help children explore and develop ideas
To take an interest in their activities and encourage them to achieve high standards with their performances!
Musical Theatre
These courses aim to promote fun and confidence through the enjoyment of Musical Theatre! Classes are performance based and explore different musical theatre songs and simple choreography each term.
These lessons are great for any child who hasn’t tried Musical Theatre before, or need a boost in confidence and self esteem! Our senior students will also study Musical Theory and the context behind the Shows we study! Our tutors aim to incorporate classic genres – including early Music Hall shows – to modern day musicals such as Matilda and School of Rock!
Depending on the time of year, students will either present their hard work at the end of term in the form of a small presentation after school, or in one of our showcases in Selwyn!
